All my guestlist come from Facebook

This is what I hear quite often...
-I promote heavily through Facebook and do well (FB is amongst the best when it comes to event planning but widely known to be majorily a place for personal use and co-workers) A lot of cutesiness (?) going on.
-I have over 10,000 people on my mySpace that I promote to (Yep in which 90% of your friends are barely on, spam/hacked accounts, live (way) outside of Sac that they wouldnt even go to the club you're promotin and the list goes on).
-Over 3000 people are following me on twitter that I promote to.(twitter is great for quick, easy access to your potential guestlist people but usually if you miss a few days then u are so quickly forgotten in the twitterverse)

I can go on n on with the pros and cons of social networking but whether one or many it comes down to only a few pointers to consider.
-Be impactful and give useful info to your viewing audience!
-Add and or associate with other interesting people that help you shine!
-Pay attention to your demographics. If its off then your efforts are futile!
-Sometimes you just have to be point blank in what you're selling!
-Dont limit yourself by only using one but also find a balance between a few!
-Have fun doing it and streamline the process to make it easy for you!
